EAPIC Excellence Award, Kenya.

The award ceremony took place on the evening of Wednesday, 17 September at Grand Regency Hotel, Nairobi Kenya during the 10th anniversary of the East African Power Industry Convention (EAPIC), the leading power event in the East African region.

The theme for the 2008 conference was: Ten years of powering East Africa: celebrating successes and working toward a sustainable future.

This marks the third time SMS Media is awarded for its solutions.

This year SMS Media is honored to have been invited as an exhibitor at the 23rd CeBIT in Hanover, Germany.

CeBIT is the world’s largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments. The key target groups are users from industry, the wholesale/retail sector, skilled trades, banks, the services sector, government agencies, science and all users passionate about technology.

CeBIT offers an international platform for comparing notes on current industry trends, networking, and product presentations. Deutsche Messe AG has organized CeBIT in Hannover each spring since 1986.

African ICT Achievers Award.

The African ICT Achievers Award Ceremony is a program instituted by ICT research and consulting house ForgeAhead, SMS Media was nominated in the category “Most Innovative ICT Company in Africa”.

The top 43 entrants were selected from over 300 nominees across 20 African countries and it was held on November 17th , at the Sandton Convention Centre, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Back from their tour in the US for the release of their new Afropean Soul album "Sex, Love & Philosophy" (most expected Soul Music album in US for 2007), SOUL:ID is a music collective of 4 people hailing from 4 nations with one sound perfumed by the taste of concrete and the smell of trees, "V" from Rwanda, "Tchai" from Burundi, "Dad'D" from D.R.Congo and "Urban Deep" from Belgium.

Their album was released last October in the US on famed label ABB Records, mixed by Dylan "3D" Dresdow [Black Eyed Peas/Wu Tang Clan/Tweet] and masterized by James Cruz [Toni Braxton/Three 6 Mafia/Lil Kim].

RWANDA Film Festival 4th Edition.
